What I Eat in A Day
After PSY205 this morning for breakfast I had...
- Ginger ale (love Ernie Ice🫶),
- Fruit loops
- Toasted cinnamon raisin bagel w/ butter
Taking “selfies” and pictures centered around a specific subject like what I eat in a day or What I listen to in a day. Really forces you to slow down and look at your own habits. It also made me more mindful of what I was going to do today to make sure I could take these pictures to document my day. Almost forcing me to eat more. I found that taking selfies with a social conscience was beneficial for me to understand how much I actually ate and health wise, whether it was for better health or for worse.
Even with music taking pictures of the songs you listened to in a day, if you're an avid listener it’d show how music is a habit and is almost like background music to your life. This could either be something seen as positive or negative to your life because of time consumption.

I find your reflection on the thoughtfulness that went behind the photos very relatable. I feel that often times we take pictures just to do so and without thought. But a project such as this one forces us to have both forethought and reflection on the photos being taken. This can allow for a change in how we would normally live day to day and overall a greater sense of awareness.

I thought this blog post was very entertaining. I can see the aspects of your personality in the photos that you posted and the captions you left with them. I think its very important that you were vulnerable about not eating that much, which resulted in a headache. - Sam Canto
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the photos you took, they’re very fun and have a personal style. I can relate to the not eating too much, with long art classes it can be hard to fit meals in. I like that you ate bagels multiple times in the day as I reminds me of a month I had where I ate like 2 bagels a night. I agree with the selfies forcing you to analyze your own habits, it’s interesting to see something you wouldn’t really think about organized in front of you. — Sarah Y
ReplyDeleteI liked the honesty within this post! Eating 2 bagels in a day is totally valid, and I think the rest of the post is a great reflection as well. Reflecting on how daily selfies factor into how you may change your daily habits is a great reflection on how social media and these types of activities can influence our everyday lives
ReplyDeleteThese photos I thought were engaging and was relatable on showcasing the diet of college students. I can see how eating two bagels is a good option since Ernie dining halls have been lacking with good food the past few days. On top of that, I loved the reflection of putting in your selfies and see how the selfies can help monitor your progress in lifestyle for eating and exercising in general.
